SMS Privacy & Messaging Consent
CardDrop (a service of Voodoo Rodeo LLC) offers SMS-based services at (209) 299-0966. When you opt in to CardDrop SMS services:
- We collect your phone number and SMS consent timestamp
- We use your phone number solely to provide CardDrop services
- We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or opt-in data with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes
- We do not use your phone number for telemarketing
- Message frequency varies based on your usage — you receive messages when you scan business cards, search contacts, set follow-up reminders, or interact with the service
- Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan
- Message history may be retained for service improvement and support purposes
Opt-in: You may opt in by texting START to (209) 299-0966, or by texting the number displayed on our website at carddrop.co. You must reply START to confirm before any service messages are sent.
Opt-out: You can opt out of SMS at any time by texting STOP to (209) 299-0966. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent. Your account and contact data will remain intact.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase. You can use CardDrop via the web without SMS.
Data Retention
Business Card Images
Business card images are automatically deleted after 90 days. We only retain the extracted contact data, not the original images.
Contact data is retained until you delete your account or request removal of specific contacts. You can delete any contact at any time through your dashboard.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to provide our functionality:
- Anthropic (Claude) - For AI-powered business card extraction and voice transcription
- Clerk - For authentication and account management
- Google - For Google Contacts and Calendar sync (when connected)
- Microsoft - For Outlook contacts sync (when connected)
- Twilio - For SMS functionality
- CRM Integrations - HubSpot, Pipedrive, Square, Follow Up Boss (when connected)
We only share contact data with these services when you explicitly connect them. You can disconnect any integration at any time from your settings.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
